Returns & Faults

We can promise that the item you receive will be genuine, but we can’t promise that you’ll like it. Each perfume sample is made by hand on demand using the manufacturer’s original bottle. The chance to tamper with or harm the product occurs once the shipment has been received by the customer. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds because we want to make sure that every fragrance supplied is 100% authentic.

We acknowledge that mistakes can be made when ordering, thus we provide a brief and highly regulated 14-day cooling-off period starting from the date of delivery during which an order may be returned. All returns must be undamaged, in their original packing, and unopened. If the packing has been opened before the return and it is discovered, the return will be rejected. Scent and Samples will never provide a credit, exchange, or refund where there is evidence that the product has been used.

Fragrances are susceptible to production fluctuations and formula modifications by virtue of the producer. This does not amount to a product flaw. When a consumer feels that a fragrance differs from previous encounters, Scent & Samples will not provide a refund, exchange, or credit option.

The buyer is responsible for covering all return shipping fees, and we highly advise using a tracked postal service. Any returns that do not get back to us will not be the responsibility of Scent and Samples.

The damaged or defective item must be returned to us with the original packaging within 28 days after purchase if a return is accepted.

As a gesture of goodwill, we reserve the right to reimburse the return shipping costs; nevertheless, this is not a given.

Before we get the order, no replacement goods or credit notes will be given.
We reserve the right to offer a replacement item, credit note, or refund if the ordered products are delivered damaged, defective, or missing from the package.

Customers must inspect all items that make up their order as soon as they get them and MUST report any missing, defective, or damaged items within 24 hours of delivery. Any damage reported more than 24 hours after delivery may be rejected, and failure to notify damage within 24 hours of delivery will be taken as acceptance of the item’s condition.

Digital photos and a confirmation that the item arrived damaged are required as proof of any flaw or damage from the purchaser. To submit a claim to the courier, use this information. The customer will need to help the courier and us out with any subsequent investigations. If you don’t, you risk having a replacement or credit note denied.
